This sequence is mesmerizing, we were enthralled, lulled by the smooth camera movements and the voices that come to us from another time. The trees in this film and the other in black and white are the same, but time has passed. We hear about the sea that eats the beach and we see the sea and we no longer see the beach. There’s just an old man looking at the sea and the trees.
