A \u00e1rvores est\u00e1 coberta de pequenas marcas brancas, de fios. O pintor observa-a e observa o desenho. O desenho, inacabado, fixou a \u00e1rvore, mas a \u00e1rvore n\u00e3o est\u00e1 fixa, os frutos pesam, alguns j\u00e1 ca\u00edram ao ch\u00e3o. A natureza mostra-se incontrol\u00e1vel. \u00c9 como se a \u00e1rvore, ainda jovem, estivesse a brincar com o pintor: o teu momento passou, esta j\u00e1 n\u00e3o \u00e9 a minha forma, lida com isso, deixa-me em paz. O pintor cheira um fruto e liberta a \u00e1rvore dos fios. Depois v\u00eam outros homens e levam aquela esp\u00e9cie de gaiola. A \u00e1rvore intoc\u00e1vel fica exposta, livre, mas continua no seu s\u00edtio enquanto tudo \u00e0 volta se mexe. Tudo no p\u00e1tio, mesmo as roupas dos homens, tem uma cor ba\u00e7a, menos o marmeleiro. Um dos homens queria pint\u00e1-la, outro quer-lhe comer um fruto.

The trees are covered in small white marks, threads. The painter observes it and observes the drawing. The drawing, unfinished, fixed the tree, but the tree is not fixed, the fruits are heavy, some have already fallen to the ground. Nature is uncontrollable. It is as if the tree, still young, was playing with the painter: your moment has passed, this is no longer my form, deal with it, leave me alone. The painter smells a fruit and frees the tree from the threads. Then other men come and take that kind of cage. The untouchable tree is exposed, free, but remains in its place while everything around it moves. Everything in the courtyard, even the men’s clothes, is a dull color, except for the quince tree. One of the men wanted to paint her, another wants to eat some fruit.
